A child was born on the 16th of August

While you my friends will make this day about me, I will make my birthday about God. He is the reason why I’m here another year and God doesn’t need me to throw a party or “pop bottles” to thank Him because in all actuality that would be me just thanking myself…AND I DESERVE NO PRAISE. 

So, today, instead of putting together the biggest party, I decided to thank God for everything in my life. I am thanking Him for my health, for my peace of mind by doing my job well, for my family by calling them just to say “I love you,” for my success by giving back to the less fortunate, for you reading this, and for MY LIFE by continuing to give Him my all. This is what birthdays should be about…giving God the glory for allowing me to see another year. So the next time your birthday comes around, ask yourself, “Who am I truly thanking? Myself or God?”
