Awkward moments keep life interesting. Like the time in Lagos I waved at a stranger, thinking they were my old schoolmate—and ended up explaining my enthusiasm to a confused market vendor. 

Winnipeg’s version? Holding the door open for someone 30 feet away, forcing them to jog politely as we share a mutual apology. 

These little quirks remind us to laugh at ourselves and embrace the imperfection of human interaction.
