KEEPING AN INNER COOL

It is the final Friday of the month, and things are running incredibly hot. Outside the windows, the sun is blazing, the air is heavy, and the entire city is under a severe heat warning. Then, right in the middle of this intense morning, my internet router completely went down. Suddenly, I was dealing with a blistering day outside and a frustrating technical roadblock inside. It felt like every single pressure point was compounding at the exact same time.
Staring at a blinking red light when you are already physically uncomfortable can make you want to snap. It is easy to let a small tech glitch push you over the edge. But I realized that getting angry just turns up your own internal temperature. It adds unnecessary friction to a situation that is already tense. I had to physically unplug the device, step back, and take a long, quiet breath.
You cannot force a router to reboot its system any faster, and you cannot force the weather outside to cool down. All you can actually manage is your own response to the chaos. I chose to stay calm, pour a cold glass of water, and protect my peace. When life gets heavy and minor frustrations pile up all at once, your only job is to look inward. Keep your composure, let the system reset, and remember that your inner cool is always entirely up to you.
