Saturday: Finding Peace in the Slow Down

Saturday, and the city is looking like a winter wonderland again. After the late season storm yesterday we have a fresh blanket of snow covering everything. Looking out from the high rise today I am leaning into the slow pace that only a snow day can provide.

The weekend is officially here and I am starting it with a quiet ritual. There is no rush to get to the studio and no immediate deadlines to meet. Just a hot coffee and some time for reflection. We spend so much of our week chasing goals and navigating pivots that we often forget to just be still. 

Today is about reclaiming that stillness. I am using this time to clear my mind and set my intentions for the rest of the month. Sometimes the weather forces you to slow down so you can finally hear your own thoughts. It is a gift if you choose to see it that way.

If you are in Manitoba today please stay safe and warm. If you do not have to be on the roads then do not be. Use this time to recharge your own battery. Your creativity and your focus will be much sharper when you allow yourself to truly rest.

Enjoy the quiet and the view.
