Tuesday Afternoon: Sunlight and Perspective

The city is absolutely glowing this afternoon. Stepping out for a lunch break has been the best decision of the day so far. After a morning of deep focus in my work space getting out into the direct sunlight feels like a total system reset. 

There is a different kind of energy on the streets when the sun is this bright. The air is warm and the winter layers are finally coming off. I am just walking and taking in the rhythm of the city. It is easy to get tunnel vision when you are chasing big goals but these small breaks are what keep the creativity from burning out.

Coming out of my small world for an hour reminds me that life happens in the transitions. I am grabbing a light lunch and enjoying the breeze before heading back to the grind. The goal is to finish the day with the same intensity I started with and this sunlight is the perfect fuel for the second half of the shift.

Take a moment to step away from the screen today. The world looks better when you are actually in it.
